I've lost weight

For the first time since college, my weight is below 110 lbs. -- 108.8 when I checked this afternoon after returning from a moderate ride. That means I've lost around 10 lbs. since the spring of this year.

Four kilos is a significant difference when it comes to effort required going uphill. Four kilos is almost half the weight of a good, racing bike. I see now the reason why I'm so much more comfortable on long uphills than I was earlier in the year. It's both loss of some dead weight and increase in muscle mass. I can tell I've increased muscle mass since recently, I've been able to close gaps to and take pulls out front with much larger, muscular guys.
